Decree Concerning the Pastoral Office of Bishops in the Church

All the bishops are united in a "college," or body, although they exercise their authority individually in the particular local church entrusted to them. Aware of the changing times and the needs of our modern world, we issue this decree to describe more accurately the pastoral office of the bishop.

He is also a husband, a widely-published and award-winning author, a gardener, a university professor, and a pretty qualified corkscrew operator.
