Loyes Spayd has been involved in ministry for 36 years as a parish catechist, a parish DRE, a diocesan staff member in catechesis in three dioceses, and a Pastoral Life Director in a Parish. She most recently served as DRE at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish in Vienna, VA and is now retired. She does volunteer ministry in her parish, serves as a consultant, and is working on her third book. She is the mother of three, the grandmother of six, and lives in Reston, VA.
