Becoming Missionary Disciples

This faith learning session is designed to help children understand the who, what, why and how of becoming Catholic missionary disciples as described by Pope Francis in his apostolic exhortation Evangelii Gaudium (The Joy of the Gospel). They will learn that the Church has a missionary nature, first taught by Jesus to His first followers, the apostles. They, with the help of the Holy Spirit, went forth to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, first to their own community, and then to the world.
